(24 Technique Chart)


1. Clutching Feathers (Front-- Left Hand Hair Grab)

1. An opponent at 12:00 grabs your hair with their left hand.
2. Step your right foot to 6:00 as you pin your opponent's hand with your left and cock your right hand at your right hip.
3. Unwind into a right neutral bow facing 12:00 utilizing torque as you simultaneously execute a right vertical middle knuckle (or punch) to your opponent's right floating ribs.
4. As your opponent begins to bend over, pivot into a right forward bow facing 12:00 as you execute a left palm strike to your opponent's jaw simultaneously with a right extended outward block to the inside of your opponent's arm.
5. Unwind into a right neutral bow facing 12:00 as you execute a right inward back knuckle diagonally across your opponent's nose.
6. Without stopping, continue the motion of your right hand as you execute a left front crossover, execute a left vertical punch simultaneous with a right outward downward hammer fist to your opponent's groin.
7. As you settle into your twist stance and without a loss of body momentum, execute a left inward heel palm and a right inward horizontal elbow strike to the opponent’s jaw. The heel palm acts as a backstop creating a sandwiching effect.
8. From point of origin, execute a right knee strike to the opponent’s groin and double outward five-finger claws.
9. Pivot counterclockwise into a right reverse bow attempting to further disrupt or buckle the opponent’s stance as you strike with a right inward downward diagonal wrist.
10. From the right reverse bow, execute a right knee to your opponent's face.
11. Cross out towards 7:30.
 

2. Triggered Salute (Front- Right Hand Direct Push)

1. An opponent at 12:00 pushes your left shoulder with their right hand.
2. Immediately and simultaneously turn your body counter-clockwise, thus riding the force of the push and using your opponent's force, borrowed force. As you do this, step your right foot into a right neutral bow facing 12:00 as you pin their right hand with your left and simultaneously execute a right palm strike to your opponent's chin. Note: your right step may also buckle your opponent's knee.
3. Frictionally slide your right arm down your opponent's right arm, making the shape of a crane with your hand.  Note: This should hook your opponent's right arm down towards 5:30 and end in an anchored elbow.
4. Immediately execute a right inward elbow to your opponent's right solar plexus.
5. Follow through and execute a right outward elbow strike to your floating ribs.
6. Using residual torque, follow through with a right backfist to your opponent's floating ribs or kidney. Follow through and cock your right hand at your right hip.
7. Execute a right vertical back knuckle strike to your opponent's chin.
8. Shift into a left rear crossover towards 1:00 as you release your left pinning hand to execute a left claw to the right side of your opponent's face followed by a right back elbow strike to your opponent's solar plexus as you settle. (Your left hand, after passing through your opponent's face, will check your own face and your right forearm will be a sweeping check just before it strikes as an elbow.)
9. Without disrupting your motion, step your left foot to 1:30 to the inside of your opponent's left leg. Pivot into a right reverse bow to buckle out your opponent's left leg as you execute a right back hammerfist to your opponent's groin.
10. Execute a right knee kick to your opponent's right inner knee to buckle it out.
11. Land in a crossover and cross out towards 7:30.
 

3. Dance of Death (Front- Right Straight Punch; their left leg forward)

1. An opponent from 12:00 comes at you with a right punch while in a left foot forward fighting stance.
2. Step your left foot forward towards 10:30 into a left neutral bow facing 12:00 as you simultaneously execute a left inward block to your opponent's punch.
3. Immediately pivot into a left forward bow facing 12:00 as you maintain a left bracing angle check and execute a right reverse hand sword to your opponent's groin.
4. Switch your hands so your right is now high against your opponent's right arm and your left is low. Execute a right step-through knee kick to your opponent's groin. (This gets their weight shifted off their right leg so you can grab.)
5. Land in a right neutral bow facing 12:00 as you simultaneously execute a right inward elbow as you grab the back of your opponent's right knee and pull towards you. Note: This move should knock them on their back.  The pull and strike must counteract each other to be effective.
6. Execute a right backfist to your opponent's left knee. Note: This is done in case of an unintentional move; their left leg may come up when they are dropped to the ground.
7. Drop into a right wide kneel stance and take advantage of marriage of gravity and execute a right inward handsword (or finger whip) onto your opponent's groin.
8. Release your left hand grab and slide it from your opponent's heel to the top of the toes as your right hand grabs the outside of your opponent's heel.
9. Twist your opponent's right ankle clockwise to sprain or fracture it as well as roll them onto their stomach.
10. Release your opponent's ankle. Execute a left heel stomp to your opponent's lower spine towards 1:00 as you do "cup and saucer" at your right side, cocking for a strike.
11. Shifting your body weight from your left leg, plant your right foot to 4:00.
12. Execute a left stomp so it pinches the right side of your opponent's right kidney before planting to the right of your opponent's right ribs. Drop into a left wide kneel as you utilize marriage of gravity and execute a right handsword down on the back of your opponent's neck. Note: You will actually check your opponent's right shoulder blade as you sink into your stance.
13. Raise up into a one-legged stance as you execute a right stomp to your opponent's upper spine. (Your hands are "cup and saucer" at your left hip.)
14. Step your left foot to 10:30 to the front and left of your opponent's head. Execute a right rear kick to your opponent's head.
15. Cross out towards 10:30.
 
 

4. Thrusting Salute (Front- Right Front Step-Through Kick)

1. An opponent from 12:00 comes at you with a right front step-through kick.
2. Step your right foot to 4:30 into a left neutral bow facing 10:30 as you execute a left downward block to your opponent's right leg.
3. Bring your left high to check in case of a right punch. Taking advantage of the exposed centerline, execute a right step-through front kick to your opponent's groin.
4. Land in a right neutral bow facing 10:30 as you execute a right palm strike to your opponent's chin.
5. Immediately execute a left front crossover as you execute a left vertical punch to your opponent's solar plexus simultaneous with a right horizontal palm strike across your opponent's mid-section.
6. Unwind and pivot clockwise into a left neutral bow as you execute a left inward elbow strike to your opponent's right ribs. (Your right hand covers in front of your face.)
7. With your left forearm and hand checking across your opponent's mid-section and left arm, execute a right chopping punch to your opponent's pubic bone.
8. Immediately flow through and execute a right overhead inward looping back knuckle to your opponent's left temple.
9. Without disrupting the flow of motion, have your right forearm and hand loop down to check your opponent's mid-section as you execute a left overhead inward looping back knuckle to your opponent's right temple.
10. Have both arms flow into positional checks and cross out.
 
 

5. Gift of Destruction (Front- Right Handshake)

1. An opponent at 12:00 grabs your right hand.
2. Hop forward to 11:00 with your left foot as your right hand simultaneously jerks on your opponent's arm pulling them down.
3. At the same time, simultaneously execute a left strike against your opponent's elbow joint as you execute a right knee kick your opponent's groin.
4. Plant your right foot forward into a right neutral bow facing 12:00 as you simultaneously buckle your opponent's right knee and execute a right inward elbow to your opponent's jaw. [Your left hand should be checking at your opponent's right arm.]
5. Slide your left foot counterclockwise towards 4:00 into a right neutral bow as you grab your opponent's right shoulder with your right hand and pull them down and to you as you simultaneously execute a left inward claw to the right side of your opponent's face. (Your right hand can release your opponent's shoulder and be at your mid-section.)
6. Immediately execute a right outward raking back knuckle strike to the right side of your opponent's nose as your left hand checks low.
7. Reverse the motion of right hand as you execute a right inward downward hammerfist to your opponent's left jaw in order to dislocate or break the jaw hinge.
8. As you continue the momentum of the right hammerfist (without losing flow of motion) shift into a side horse stance facing 8:00 as you execute a right downward hammerfist to your opponent's upper abdomen upon settling into the stance.
9. Execute a right front crossover to 4:00 as you execute a right backfist to your opponent's temple.
10. Unwind counterclockwise and execute a right front kick to your opponent's solar plexus.
11. Execute a right front crossover and cross out to 4:00
 
 

6. Locking Horns (Front- Headlock)

1. An opponent at 12:00 wraps you in a front headlock with their right arm choking.
2. Breath. (Tuck your chin to the left and against your chest.) Grab your opponent's right hand with your left hand to breath a little easier as you step your right foot to 12:00 in a right wide kneel and simultaneously execute a right reverse handsword up into the groin.
3. Execute a left outward handsword to your opponent's right knee as your right hand maintains a check on your opponent's right arm. Note: This handsword also checks their right knee.
4. Execute a right hammerfist to your opponent's left knee as your left hand returns to maintain a check on your opponent's right arm. Note: This also checks their left leg, but also sets you up for the final strike.
5. Execute a right obscure elbow to your opponent's body, contouring up and striking through your opponent's jaw.
6. Execute a right downward diagonal inward elbow strike as you execute a left palm strike to sandwich your opponent's face.
7. Step your left foot to 12:00 into a left front crossover as you execute a right backfist to your opponent's right ribs simultaneous with a left pushdown strike to your opponent's solar plexus. (Left arm over right arm.)
8. From the front twist stance, immediately execute a right knee kick to your opponent's groin.
9. From the right knee strike, now cocked, execute a right foot stomp to your opponent's right instep.
10. With your right foot still on your opponent's right foot, step your left foot behind your right and stomp on your opponent's left instep.
11. Execute a left step through, right front crossover and cross out to 7:30.
 

7. Lone Kimono (Front- Left Hand Lapel Grab)

1. An opponent at 12:00 grabs your lapel with their left hand.
2. Step your left foot to 6:00 as you simultaneously pin your opponent's hand with your left hand and cock your right hand at your hip. Note: During this pin, rotate your hand clockwise to position the elbow for easiest break.
3. Settle into a right neutral bow facing 12:00 and utilize the provided torque to execute a right upward forearm strike to your opponent's left elbow joint, causing severe hyper-extension, possibly even a break in the joint.
4. Immediately circle your arm counter-clockwise and convert it into an inward downward strike on top of your opponent's forearm. Complete this strike with your right palm up and your left hand checking high. Note: mentioning an optional strike here of a left hand spear to the eyes.
5. Execute a right snapping outward handsword to your opponent's throat.
6. Slide your left foot up to your right into a right cat stance as you execute a left diagonal palm strike to your opponent's sternum using back-up mass as you simultaneously circle your right hand counterclockwise so that it hooks your opponent's left arm down and to your right hip.
7. While extending your left palm strike to its limit, cock your right foot as your right hand simultaneously continues its counterclockwise circle to cock itself above your right shoulder.
8. Immediately execute a right knife-edge kick to the inside of your opponent's right knee.
9. As you proceed to plant your right foot to 10:30, have your left circle clockwise to strike at the right side of your opponent's jaw. As you settle into the right neutral bow, strike your opponent's right jaw with a left palm strike while simultaneously executing a right inward hammerfist to the left side of your opponent's jaw. Note: Take full advantage of marriage of gravity.
10. Step into a right front crossover and cross out towards 4:30.
 

8. Glancing Salute (Front- Right Hand Cross Push)

1. An opponent at 12:00 comes at you with a right hand push to your left shoulder.
2. Step your left foot to 11:00 into a left neutral bow facing 12:00 as you use borrowed force from your opponent. Note: You will ride the push so you are facing 3:00.
3. As you step forward, your right arm will come up and pin your opponent's wrist against your chest as you execute a left inward vertical forearm strike against the elbow to break your opponent's arm.
4. Pivot into a left forward bow facing 12:00 as you simultaneously pin your opponent's arm against their body as you execute a right palm strike to your opponent's face.
5. Circle your right hand counter-clockwise to the right of your opponent's face and hook it around your opponent's neck.
6. Pull your opponent's head down and toward the ground as you simultaneously execute a knee to your opponent's stomach.
7. Land in a right neutral bow as you execute a right inward elbow to your opponent's face. Note: This strike will capitalize on back-up mass and marriage of gravity.
8. Step into a left rear crossover and instantly slide your right foot to 1:30 to the inside of your opponent's left knee to buckle. Pivot into a right reverse bow as you simultaneously execute a right downward palm strike to your opponent's groin.
9. Immediately execute a right knee kick to the inside of your opponent's right knee.
10. Land in a right front twist stance as you execute a left two-finger hook to your opponent's eyes.
11. Cross out to 7:30.
 

9. Five Swords (Front- Right Step-Through Punch)

1. An opponent at 12:00 comes at you with a right step-through punch.
2. Step your right foot to 12:00 into a right neutral bow facing 12:00 as you execute a right inward block to your opponent's forearm, your left hand checking at the wrist. Note: Your right knee will also be executing a pinning check as it is inside your opponent's right knee.
3. Immediately execute a right outward handsword to your opponent's neck.
4. Pivot into a right forward bow facing 12:00 as you execute a left palm strike to your opponent's face. (Your right hand will cock at your right hip.
5. Take advantage of the anticipated response (i.e. their gut jutting forward due to the strike) and execute a right uppercut punch as you pivot back into a right neutral bow facing 12:00.
6. Slide your foot to 4:30 as you execute a left outward handsword to your opponent's neck. Note: Your right hand is cocked high for the final strike.
7. Pivot into a right neutral bow facing 10:30 as you pull your opponent in and execute a right inward Handsword to the back of your opponent's neck.
8. From your checking position, execute a left inward claw to the right side of your opponent's face.
9. Pivot into a right reverse bow as you execute a right outward upward diagonal hand sword to the right side of your opponent's neck.
10. From your right reverse bow, execute a right rear rising stiff-leg kick to your opponent's groin.
11. Land in a right front crossover and cross out towards 4:30.
 

10. Buckling Branch (Front- Left Front Step-Through Kick)

1. An opponent from 12:00 comes at you with a left front step-through kick.
2. Step your right foot to 4:30:00 into a left neutral bow facing 10:30:00 as you simultaneously execute a left downward block to the outside of your opponent's left leg.
3. Bring your left hand high to positionally check against any further action.
4. Execute a right step-through front snapping ball kick to your opponent's groin.
5. Execute a left step-through knife-edge kick to the back of your opponent's right knee, dropping them to the ground. Land the left foot to 9:30 into a left reverse bow.
6. Without hesitation, pivot counterclockwise into a left front twist stance as you check your opponent's left shoulder blade with your left hand simultaneous with a right overhead downward hammerfist to your opponent's solar plexus. Follow this instantly with a right knee kick to the middle of your opponent's spine.
7. Plant your foot back to point of origin as you immediately pivot clockwise into a left reverse bow while executing a right backfist to the left side of your opponent's jaw followed by a left palm claw to your opponent's chin and face. Note: This is delivered in a stiff-arm fashion, using body fusion.
8. Shift your left foot counterclockwise to 4:30 as you drop into a right close kneel stance while executing a right underhand stiff-arm backfist to your opponent's head as they fall.
9. Pull your left foot back to your right foot and leap, pivoting counterclockwise in the air. Land on your left foot as you execute a right overhead downward looping round kick to your opponent's sternum.
10. Flow your kick into a right front crossover and cross out towards 4:30.
 

11. Scraping Hoof (Full Nelson)

1. An opponent at 6:00 gets you in a full nelson lock.
2. Step to your left into a horse stance as you execute two outward overhead elbows that pull on your opponent's arms to break their grip. Note: Some versions of this technique omit this step.
3. Pull your left foot back to your right as you thrust both fists to the ground to help get free from the grab as you simultaneously thrust your head back into your opponent's face for a head butt.
4. Pivot your body slightly to 7:30 into a rear bow, bending your left knee as you aim. Execute a right rear scoop kick your opponent's left knee. Then, upon finding the knee, execute a right knife-edge kick to your opponent's right knee. Execute a right stomp on your opponent's right foot.
5. Pivot towards 4:30, bending your right knee into a rear bow as you prepare to take aim. Execute a left rear scoop kick to your opponent's right knee. Then, upon finding the knee, execute a left knife-edge kick to your opponent's left knee. Execute a left stomp on your opponent's left foot.
6. From your left stomp, shift your left foot slightly to 12:00 as you simultaneously shoot your right foot back to 7:30 into a right reverse bow buckling out the inside of your opponent's left leg.
7. Step into a left front crossover to 4:30 and step your right foot to 1:30 into a right neutral bow as you buckle out the inside of your opponent's right knee. (This should cause your opponent to fall onto their back with legs spread apart due to the buckling.)
8. Execute a left rear crossover followed by a right rear kick to your opponent's groin.
9. Step into a right front crossover and cross out to 10:30.
 

12. Grip of Death (Left Flank- Right Arm Headlock)

1. An opponent at 9:00 gets me in a right arm side headlock.
2. Step your right foot to 10:30 into a right close kneel stance as you tuck your head to the left and execute a right hammer fist to your opponent's groin simultaneous with a left hammer fist to your opponent's left kidney.
3. Contour your left arm up and over your opponent's right shoulder manipulate your opponent. Note: Ideally this manipulation is to the underside of the nose (philtrim), but can also be to the hair, chin, orbits of the eyes, shoulder or any other contact point where you can secure a grip.
4. Stand as you use a left anchored elbow in order to create a fulcrum with your forearm and elbow against your opponent's back and shoulder area to increase your leverage.
5. Pivot into a left forward bow facing 6:00 as you utilize torque and deliver a right palm strike to your opponent's chin. Note: Your left hand will release your opponent and become a positional check on top of your opponent's arm at your left shoulder to guide the arm off as your opponent falls; this simply wards against unintentional moves.
6. With your left foot behind and to the right of your opponent's right foot, execute a left foot sweep towards 10:30 against your opponent's right foot so you settle into a left front twist stance facing 10:30. (This should spread your opponent's legs out and disturb your opponent's balance. Your right leg is now the lead leg and your left hand is maintaining a pinning check against your opponent's right arm while your right hand positionally checks to the left of your face. You are also essentially positioned behind your opponent.)
7. Slightly step your right foot to 6:00, remaining in a left front twist stance. Shoot your left foot toward 7:30 into a left reverse bow as you buckle out the inside of your
opponent's left knee. (Your hands are checking your opponent's back, left hand low, right high.)
8. From your left reverse bow, execute a left knife-edge kick to the back of your opponent's right knee.
9. Land in a left front crossover and settle into a right rear twist. Pivot clockwise as you execute a right rear kick to your opponent's spine.
10. Land in a right front crossover and cross out 4:30.
 

13. Crossing Talon (Front- Right Cross Wrist Grab)

1. An opponent at 12:00 grabs your right hand with their right hand.
2. Step your left foot to 12:00 into a left neutral bow as you roll your right hand in a clockwise fashion over your opponent's wrist. As you retain control of your opponent's right arm, execute a left forearm strike to your opponent's right elbow joint.
3. Pivot into a left reverse bow as you roll your forearm over your opponent's right, doubling them over. Note: This pivot gives you additional torque to take them over and sets you up for the next strike.
4. Execute a left outward elbow to your opponent's head as you pivot back into a horse stance facing 3:00.
5. Execute a left palm strike down to your opponent's face.
6. Claw your opponent's face as you anchor your left elbow, raking it down your opponent's spine. Note: This anchoring simply maintains control and pushes them further down.
7. Continue the motion of the anchored elbow. Execute a right inward overhead elbow to your opponent's spine as you flow into a left close kneel.
8. As the elbow comes down, execute a right knee strike to your opponent's face. Note: This is essentially a sandwiching effect. Your opponent's head will been driven down into your rising knee.
9. Plant your right foot back to point of origin as your left hand slides down your opponent's right arm and grabs the back of your opponent's right hand (palm down, left thumb closest to you) as your right hand simultaneously matches the grab of your left hand.
10. Step your left foot toward 6:00 as you pin your opponent's right hand to your right hip. As you pivot quickly twist snapping your opponent's wrist to break it. Simultaneous with the wrist break, execute a right round kick to your opponent's solar plexus to force them to the ground all the while maintaining your grab. Land with your right foot along your opponent's right ribs.
11. With your opponent on the ground on their back, slide your right hand (reversed counterclockwise and palm-up) under your opponent's right wrist as your left hand matches. Once the grab is secure, twist your opponent's hand clockwise while pivoting into a left reverse bow.
12. Execute a left knife-edge kick to the right side of your opponent's neck as you pull with your hands to dislocate your opponent's shoulder.
13. Land at point of origin, cross out to 7:30.
 

14. Repeating Mace (Front- Left Step-Through Lunging Push)

1. An opponent at 12:00 comes lunging at you with a left step-through push.
2. Step your left foot to 4:30 as you execute a left outward hooking parry (waiter's hand).
3. Without stopping the flow of the motion, unwind into a right neutral bow facing 10:30 as you utilize torque and execute a right inward raking hammerfist to your opponent's left kidney.
4. Immediately reverse the motion and execute a right backfist to your opponent's left ribs.
5. Grab your opponent's shoulder with your right hand as your left grabs the wrist. Execute a right downward looping round kick down your opponent's thigh to settle in the knee.
6. Plant your right foot to point of origin and step your left foot to 10:30 into a left front crossover as you simultaneously execute (from point of origin) a right downward hammerfist that travels up to down, left to right, and over your opponent's left arm to strike your opponent's sternum or face.
7. Pivot into a left neutral bow as you execute a left palm strike up under your opponent's jaw simultaneously as your right hand checks your opponent's arm.
8. Immediately pivot clockwise as you execute a right spinning rear kick towards 1:30 to your opponent's mid-section forcing your opponent to ground.
9. Hop on your left foot between your opponent's legs (your back is to your opponent) as you execute a right rear scoop kick to your opponent's left knee.
10. Execute a right inward downward round kick to the inside of your opponent's right knee.
11. Plant your right foot to the inside of your opponent's right leg as you instantly execute a left rear crossover heel stomp to your opponent's groin.
12. Step your left foot to 7:30 followed by a right front crossover sweep to your opponent's right shin, instep, and foot. Land in a right crossover and cross out to 7:30.
 

15. Shielding Hammer (Front- Left Step-Through Hooking Punch)

1. An opponent at 12:00 comes at you with a left step-through hooking punch.
2. Step your left foot to 6:00 into a right neutral bow facing 12:00 as you execute a right extended outward block to the inside of your opponent's forearm.
3. Execute a right inward raking hammerfist across the bridge of your opponent's nose. Note: You should strike towards 10:30 to insure depth of penetration.
4. Follow the motion and execute a right outward elbow to your opponent's solar plexus. Your left hand should be checking high.
5. Immediately step your left foot to 12:00 into a left front crossover as you execute a left vertical punch to your opponent's solar plexus simultaneous with a right downward hammerfist to your opponent's groin.
6. Unwind as you execute a right obscure elbow to your opponent's jaw while cocking your left hand. As you continue to pivot, your elbow will become a right upward palm claw across your opponent's face. As settle into a left neutral bow, execute a left palm strike to your opponent's solar plexus. (Palm in).
7. Without disrupting your movement, continue to pivot and execute a right spinning rear kick to your opponent's groin.
8. Land forwards to 12:00, gauging the distance, and execute a left rear kick to your opponent's sternum.
9. Land back into a left front crossover and cross out to 6:00.
 

16. Striking Serpent's Head (Front- Bear Hug; Arms Free)

1. An opponent at 12:00 grabs you in a bear hug leaving your arms free.
2. Step your right foot back to 6:00 into a left neutral bow facing 12:00, simultaneously cock your right hand at chest level as a half-fist (palm up) and execute a left inverted backfist to your opponent's left temple or jaw.
3. Grab your opponent's hair with your left hand, utilizing an anchored elbow to expose the neck.
4. Shift into a left forward bow as you torque your right hand and execute a right snapping half-fist (now palm down) to your opponent's throat.
5. From your left neutral bow, slide your left foot back into a left cat stance as your left hand claws down your opponent's face. Note: The cat stance should cause some marriage of gravity to enhance the effectiveness of the claw.
6. Slide your left foot alongside your right as you grab your opponent's right wrist with your left hand. Step to 10:30 with your right foot into a right neutral bow to buckle the inside of your opponent's right knee as you simultaneously execute a right inward elbow. (This should knock them backwards.
7. While maintaining your left hand grab, have your right foot circle clockwise behind your opponent's right leg as your right hand contours clockwise around and up to your opponent's neck, ending with your right hand holding onto the left side of your opponent's neck and using the back of your opponent's left shoulder as the fulcrum.
8. Without hesitation, step your left foot back to 4:30 into a right wide kneel stance as you pull and force your opponent down, guiding your opponent's spine onto your right knee.
9. Release your left hand grab and have your left hand check across your opponent's chest as you simultaneously execute a right inward overhead hammerfist down onto your opponent's sternum.
10. Have your left hand shift to your opponent's right side and push forward as you slide your right foot back into a right cat stance (your opponent should fall to the ground.)
11. Execute a right downward looping round kick to your opponent's face.

17. Locked Wing (Rear- Hammerlock)

1. An opponent at 6:00 wrenches your right arm in a hammerlock.
2. Step with your left foot back toward 6:00 into a fighting horse stance facing 9:00 as you execute a left outward elbow to your opponent's face.
3. Continue the motion so you execute a left outward claw to your opponent's face. Maintain this lock out check as your right leg steps toward 4:30 into a transitional left forward bow.
4. Wrap arm down and under opponent's right arm as you pivot clockwise into a left neutral bow.
5. Continue your pivot into a right forward bow facing 10:30, as you execute a left uppercut to break your opponent's right elbow and create an angle of cancellation. Note: The pivot will utilize torque to pull them around and double them over.
6. Execute a right inward overhead chop down onto their cervical vertebrae as you simultaneously execute a right knee up to your opponent's face.
8. Plant forward into a right neutral bow.
9. Without hesitation slide your right hand to the left side of your opponent's face. As your fingers reach beyond his nose, execute a right claw across your opponent's face simultaneously as you left hand (from the controlling position it has) squeeze a meaty portion of your opponent's right chest.
10. Slide your left foot counterclockwise towards 1:30 as your right grabs your opponent's left shoulder and pulls your opponent towards you. Simultaneously have your left hand to to your opponent's right shoulder and push it away from you.
11. As your opponent turns counterclockwise, drop into a right wide kneel stance forcing your opponent's spin onto your right knee.
12. Execute a left backfist to your opponent's face as your right claws across your opponent's face and continues in a counterclockwise circle into a right inward overhead hammerfist strike to your opponent's heart or left collarbone (clavicle.)
13. To assist your opponent’s fall to the ground, slide your right foot back and to 12:00 into a right close kneel so your left knee strikes your opponent's throat.
14. Spring up and execute a left stomp to your opponent's face.
15. Cross out to 12:00.
 

18. Obscure Wing (Right Flank- Left Hand Shoulder Grab)

1. An opponent at 3:00 grabs your right shoulder with their left hand.
2. Step your right foot to 3:00 as your left hand pins your opponent's hand to your shoulder. Simultaneously execute a right back elbow to your opponent's solar plexus.
3. Utilize marriage of gravity and execute a right back hammerfist to your opponent's groin.
4. Execute a right underhand claw.
5. Rip up and execute a right obscure elbow to your opponent's chin.
6. Immediately thrust your right foot towards 7:30 into a right reverse bow to buckle out the inside of your opponent's left knee as you simultaneously execute a right backfist over your right shoulder to your opponent's face.
7. Circle your right hand clockwise to the right and back of your opponent's neck. Have your left hand assist by grabbing to the left and back of your opponent's neck. Jerk your opponent's head forward and down into a right knee kick.
8. Land your right foot towards 12:00 into a shallow right neutral bow as you continue to force your opponent's head to the ground.
9. Without hesitation, step your left foot to 6:00 as you continue the flow of your motion to jerk and flip your opponent to the ground on their back.
10. Step your left foot to 12:00 into a left front crossover as you sweep your left foot across your opponent's head and face.
11. Hop and pivot counterclockwise landing on your left foot to 11:30 as you execute a right looping downward round kick to your opponent's solar plexus.
12. From the point of contact of your right kick, execute a right front crossover sweep striking your opponent's jaw and face.
13. Flow into a crossover and cross out to 6:00.
 

19. Reversing Mace (Front- Left Step-Through Punch)

1. An opponent at 12:00 comes at you with a left step-through straight punch.
2. Standing in a right neutral bow facing 12:00, step your left foot to 4:30 as you execute a right inward parry followed by a left outward parry [into a waiter's block] to your opponent's left arm. Continue the motion of your right hand. As you settle into your right neutral bow facing 10:30, execute a right backfist to your opponent's left ribs.
3. Grab your opponent's left wrist with your left hand as you grab their right shoulder with your right hand.
4. Execute a right downward diagonal round kick to your opponent's left knee.
5. Land to 11:00 with your right foot as you instantly step into a left rear crossover and simultaneously execute a right downward hammerfist to your opponent's sternum. (Your left hand will check your opponent's left arm.)
6. Unwind counterclockwise turning 360 degrees. Execute a left backfist the right side of your opponent's jaw as you settle into a left neutral bow facing 11 or 12:00.
7. Shuffle forward to 12:00 and pivot into a left forward bow as you execute a right two-knuckle punch to your opponent's upper spine while your left hands checks your opponent's shoulder blades.
8. Execute a right knee kick to your opponent's lower spine.
9. From the position of the kick drop, as you execute a right stomp to your opponent's ankle.
10. Slide your right foot off your opponent's ankle into a crossover and continue to cross out to 6:00.
 

20. Thrusting Prongs (Front- Bear Hug; Arms Pinned)

1. An opponent at 12:00 grabs you in a bear hug, and pins your arms.
2. Sink into a left close kneel stance (dropping your right foot back to 6:00) as you execute simultaneous thumb strikes to your opponent's bladder.
3. As your left hand checks your opponent's right arm, have your right hand execute a frictional pull on your opponent's left arm. Simultaneous with this motion, execute a right knee strike to your opponent's groin.
4. Land in a right neutral bow facing 12:00 as you execute a right knife-edge kick to your opponent's left shin. As you plant, execute a right inward elbow to your opponent's face.
5. Slide your right foot to 9:00 into a left neutral bow as you have your right hand hook to the right side and back of your opponent's neck and force your opponent's head down. Let go of your opponent's neck as you execute a left inward handsword to the back of your opponent's neck.
6. As your left hand follows through with the strike, execute a right knee kick to your opponent's face. (Your right hand will cock high above your right shoulder.)
7. Land forward to 3:00 into a modified right neutral bow as you simultaneously execute a right inward overhead handsword to the back of your opponent's neck using marriage of gravity to enhance the strike.
8. Have your right hand brace your opponent's head as you pivot into a left neutral bow facing 9:00.
9. Execute a right rear scoop kick to your opponent's left jaw.
10. From point of contact, execute a right knife-edge kick to the inside of your opponent's left knee.
11. Land into a right front crossover and cross out to 7:30.
 

21. Twisted Twig (Front- Wrist Lock)

1. An opponent at 12:00 locks your right wrist.
2. Step your right foot to 12:00 as you relieve the pressure on your right wrist with your left hand. As you step into a right neutral bow facing 12:00, execute a right upward elbow your opponent's chin.
3. Execute a right forearm strike to the outside of your opponent's right arm as you pivot into a horse stance facing 9:00. Note: This should simply be a clearing strike.
4. Pivot back into a right neutral bow as you execute a right outward elbow to your opponent's solar plexus.
5. Utilize marriage of gravity and pivot into a right reverse bow as you execute a right back hammerfist to your opponent's groin. Note: This reverse bow should also buckle out your opponent's left leg.
6. Immediately execute a left crane to hook to the left side of your opponent's neck. Pull your opponent's head down as you execute a right vertical upward backfist to your opponent's face.
7. Have your right hand match your left by forming a crane to the right side of your opponent's neck. Pull your opponent down into a right knee kick to your opponent's head.
8. Plant your right foot straight down so that it is nearly in line with your left. Immediately step your left foot back to 6:00 into a right neutral bow facing 12:00 as both of your arms pull and flip your opponent to the ground on their back.
9. Leap counterclockwise into the air. Land in a left close kneel so your right knee strikes across your opponent's right collar bone and throat as you simultaneously execute a right downward vertical raking backfist across your opponent's nose (moving overhead, down, and to you).
10. Leap clockwise into the air. Land in a right close kneel so your left knee strikes across your opponent's left collar bone (clavicle) and throat, as you simultaneously execute a left downward two-knuckle punch to your opponent's face.
11. Leap counterclockwise into the air. Land on your left foot towards 7:30 as you execute a right downward looping round kick to your opponent's sternum.
12. Cross out towards 7:30.
 

22. Obscure Sword (Right Flank- Left Hand Shoulder Grab)

1. An opponent at 3:00 grabs your right shoulder with their left hand.
2. Step your left foot to 12:00 into a narrow stance as you simultaneously pin their right hand to your shoulder with your left hand as you cock your right hand at your left shoulder.
3. Unwind into a right neutral bow facing 4:30 as you utilize torque and execute a right outward handsword to your opponent's neck.
4. Execute a left front kick to your opponent's groin.
5. Land back into a right neutral bow as you simultaneously execute a right inward diagonal raking hammerfist across the left side of your opponent's face. As it moves down, convert it to a right inward diagonal hammerfist to your opponent's right collarbone. (This uses marriage of gravity.)
6. Step your left foot behind your right leg to 4:30 as you execute a right outward strike to the bridge of your opponent's nose followed by a right upward elbow under your opponent's chin.
7. Pivot counterclockwise as you execute a right diagonal elbow down onto your opponent's sternum. Settle into a right reverse bow as you execute a right back hammerfist to your opponent's groin.
8. Slide your left foot counterclockwise so it travels behind your opponent's left leg towards 4:30 and sink into a left reverse bow to buckle out the back of your opponent's left leg.
9. As you begin to pivot into a left neutral bow facing 4:30, grab your opponent's left shoulder with your left hand while your right hand grabs your opponent's right shoulder. Anchor your elbows as you turn your opponent to face 4:30.
10. Pull your opponent's shoulders down as you execute a right knee kick to your opponent's tailbone.
11. Land forward into a right neutral bow as you execute two palm strikes to your opponent's shoulder blades to force your opponent to the ground face down.
12. Step into a left rear crossover on the inside of your opponent's legs followed by a right rear stomp to the back of your opponent's testicles.
13. Cross out towards 10:30.
 

23. Raining Claw (Front- Right Uppercut Punch)

1. An opponent at 12:00 comes at you with a right uppercut punch.
2. Step your left foot back to 6:00 into a right neutral bow as you execute a downward inward block (palm up) to your opponent's uppercut.
3. Execute a left overhead claw as you shift into a right forward bow.
4. Your left hand will slide down and frictionally pull on your opponent's arm as you pivot back into a right neutral bow executing a right uppercut to your opponent's chin.
5. Execute a left palm strike to your opponent's chin which then becomes a left finger-finger thrust to your opponent's eyes. Convert your five-finger thrust into a left overhead claw to your opponent's face.
6. As your left claw tracks down your opponent's face and cocks above your right elbow, execute a right half-fist (palm up) to your opponent's throat.
7. Step your left foot to 4:30 as your left hand claws the left side of your opponent's face and stops. Simultaneous with this move, circle your right hand counterclockwise on the inside of your left arm, as you execute a right backfist to your opponent's solar plexus.
8. Step your left foot to 1:30 as your right backfist goes through your opponent's left ribs and continues under your opponent's left arm. (Your left hand checks your opponent's left elbow.)
9. Execute a left armlock with your right arm as you drop into a right wide kneel stance to force your opponent to the ground.
10. Step your left foot to 6:00 as your left hand slides to your opponent's left wrist. (Place some serious pressure on your opponent's arm here.)
11. Step your right foot clockwise towards 6:00 as your right hand assists your left in grabbing at your opponent's wrist and yanks your opponent's left arm to dislocate the shoulder. Then force your opponent to the ground face down.
12. Leap counterclockwise facing 9:00 and execute a right knee down onto your opponent's neck.
13. Leap clockwise facing 3:00 as you execute a left stomp to your opponent's head.
14. Cross out towards 4:30.
 

24. Crashing Wings (Rear- Bear Hug; Arms Free)

1. An opponent at 6:00 grabs you in a bear hug leaving your arms free.
2. Step your right foot to 3:00 into a horse stance facing 12:00 as you execute right and left outward overhead elbows down on top of your opponent's elbow joints to break the grab. Note: You will utilize gravitational marriage to make this optimally effective.
3. Step your left foot to 3:00 into a transitional cat stance as your right and left hands cock at your right hip. (This is done with left hand vertical, right hand beneath palm up.)
4. Circle your left foot behind your opponent's right leg into a left reverse bow.
5. Pivot into a left neutral bow towards 7:30 as you execute a left outward elbow to your opponent's face. Note: To conserve motion, your right hand will be cocked high, ready to strike.
6. Continue to pivot into a left neutral bow facing 7:30 as you execute a right inward downward hammerfist to your opponent's bladder / groin area. Note: Some teach this as a strike to the chest as well.
7. Pivot back into a left neutral bow, causing them to crash to the ground and cross out towards 12:00.
8. Slide your right hammerfist up your opponent's body so it becomes a right palm strike to your opponent's jaw as your left foot moves slightly to your left into a wide left neutral bow.
9. Grab your opponent's left shoulder with your left hand and turn your opponent counterclockwise as your left hands grabs the forehead. Yank your opponent's head down and to you as you execute a right knee kick to your opponent's back.
10. Let your opponent drop to the ground face up as your right foot steps to 7:30 into a right neutral bow followed by a left step through into a left neutral bow. Circle your right foot clockwise to 6:00 into a left neutral bow facing your opponent.
11. Execute a right slicing kick your opponent's head.
12. Plant your right foot to 7:30 and without hesitating, execute a left sliding rear kick that circles counterclockwise to strike your opponent's head.
13. Cross out to 7:30.
